Easing into the 7 Day Herbal ReCleanse

If you read my previous blog post, you will know that I have been prepping for a cleanse.  I’ve taken all the steps to start eliminating pro-inflammatory foods, and prep myself mentally and physically for what is to come.

The biggest part of prepping for a cleanse is the prep, itself! I have made a sample meal plan for myself so I won’t get caught off guard when it’s time to eat, and bought all the groceries I could possibly need for snacks, smoothies and meals throughout the week. This cleanse comes equipped with a lengthy list of foods I can choose from.

The 7 day ReCleanse is a gentle, herbal cleanse, that supports the liver and colon in eliminating toxins. Unlike many cleanses, this one involves 3 balanced meals and snacks every day. There is no starving, major restrictions (except for the usual suspects), or just liquids going on here. The cleanse comes with a list of foods to eat, plus servings, for various weight ranges. You can still be vegetarian or vegan, just replace animal protein with your usual plant-based options.

Herbs that will support the liver and the elimination process are Burdock root, juniper berries, dandelion root, marshmallow root, slipper elm, horsetail, fennel, ginger, corn silk, and more, plus water and spices you can include with your meals.

Here is a sample of what I will be eating during my first 3 days on the ReCleanse. Stay tuned for my next blog post, which will be a recap of my symptoms throughout the week, how much exercise I incorporated, how prepared I felt, and how to gently ease out of a cleanse.
